The Future of Copyright Exception

Should copyright law be reformed in light of new technologies and new copyright rights? On 5 May the Australian government released its issues paper: Fair Use and Other Copyright Exceptions. This half day seminar will discuss the questions in the review process that need answers and provide a forum to air the most important issues facing copyright law today. It will consider the implications of introducing flexible exceptions into Australian copyright law and the issues posed by private copying.
